Coated papers

Coated papers:
thermal paper, wax paper and mono paper

Blumberg coats papers at its own plant in Ratingen, Germany, and supplies them as roll stock or converted. The range comprises three categories: thermal paper for direct thermal printing, pressure-sensitive wax paper for recording applications, and mono paper for high-quality brochures and thermal transfer printing. Customers in the food, chemical, automotive, pharmaceutical, textile and logistics industries rely on our material expertise. Coating to your own specification is available as toll coating.

Coated papers from Blumberg are divided into three categories:

Thermal paper

Thermal paper is a paper with a thermoreactive coating. The field of application is so-called direct thermal printing. Here, using commercially available thermal printers, a black typeface develops due to the influence of warmth or heat on the print head of the device.

Wax paper

Waxed paper is coated, pressure-sensitive recording paper with a black-grey underprint. The recording layer consists of an initially opaque layer that becomes transparent when pressure is applied, revealing the black and gray underprint.
