Payment is increasingly cashless, but tangible receipts are still needed. Our thermal rolls for EC card receipts and statements are used in all common terminals. We offer high-quality paper and comply with the strictest health standards and environmental guidelines.
Thermal rolls: Convincing print quality for trade and services
Our thermal paper cash register rolls are the first choice in the retail and service sectors. Thermal rolls do not require any additional consumables for printing. Instead, selective heat hits a thermo-sensitive protective layer. This produces clearly legible cash register receipts and card slips in a matter of seconds.
Our thermal rolls change colour to black or blue - other shades are also available on request. You can even achieve colour gradations with different temperatures. We will be happy to advise you on our range of cash register rolls and present you with individual configurations for your cash register systems.

Sustainability makes pressure - thermal rolls with responsibility
Our thermal rolls not only meet the highest quality requirements. We are aware of our responsibility towards people and the environment. That's why our thermal rolls have long been produced without bisphenol-A and other phenols. In addition, we are constantly optimizing our manufacturing processes, thus reducing the use of resources for production and products.
What are the advantages of document printing with thermal rolls?
Coating on thermal rolls saves toner and ink cartridges. Thermal printers have fewer moving parts than conventional printers and therefore require very little maintenance. At the same time, they are suitable for intensive continuous use at checkouts and points of sale. Thermal printing is one of the fastest and most efficient printing processes.
What is the shelf life of rolls of thermal paper?
If our thermal rolls are handled correctly, we guarantee a service life of 7 to 25 years - depending on the type of paper selected. This warranty applies to the fully developed typeface if thermal printing has already taken place.
After removing the original packaging, you should use our products as soon as possible after appropriate acclimatization - unfortunately, we have no influence on the ambient conditions. Usually, the original properties remain stable for many years. An exception are extreme climatic conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions About Thermal Paper Rolls
Thermal paper is a wood-free paper with a thermoreactive coating. This means that the coating reacts to the application of heat, turning black in the process. The printed image is created entirely without the use of additional materials such as ink ribbons, toner, or ink. It is a chemical process that takes place within the paper itself when exposed to heat. Common thermal printers are used for this, which—depending on the application, such as tickets, parking slips, receipt rolls, lottery tickets, labels, and more—require different thermal paper qualities.
You can find an initial impression and overview in our respective product summaries.
The coated paper is passed by a thermal print head during direct thermal printing. This print head contains elements that can be briefly heated.
Most printers use thermal rolls with a thermal coating on the outside. However, there are also point-of-sale systems with a thermal layer on the inside. One example is Inka. As a customer, you can assume that the roll is coated on the outside. Thermal rolls with an inside coating are specifically labeled as such.
The durability of thermal paper rolls is approximately seven years when stored properly. Avoid contact with solvents, disinfectants, as well as oils and greases. These substances can affect legibility. Optimal storage conditions include a cool and light-protected environment.
Although receipts are mostly made of paper, they should not be disposed of with waste paper. The German Environment Agency recommends disposing of thermal paper in the residual waste.
A weak print image is often caused by a temperature that is too low. Increase the print temperature to achieve a better result. A streaky print image can usually be resolved by cleaning the printhead cell. You can find more information on this in the manual provided by the cash register or printer manufacturer.
